  The cornerstone of my educational philosophy is to create a climate that supports student achievement within a safe, harassment free environment. Maslow maintained safety as the first step of his Hierarchy of Needs. In order for a student to reach self actualization, which is at the top of the Hierarchy, they must first feel safe.

Learning is life-long and this paradigm must be modeled. Communication, confidence, open-mindedness, vision and leadership within our school also needs to be fostered. It is important that the strengths and weaknesses of our students, staff and ourselves be recognized and our talents developed so that we are all valued members of our school and world community.
